Open Enrollment & Dupixent

What is Open Enrollment?

Open enrollment is the time each year when you can review your health insurance options and choose the plan that best meets your needs for the coming year.

Why review your plan?

Reviewing health plans during open enrollment can help you understand your coverage, prescription benefits, and out-of-pocket costs so you can make an informed decision for the year ahead.

When is the enrollment window for my insurance plan?

  • Commercial Insurance: Dates vary by employer. Check with your benefits manager. Before choosing or renewing employer or Marketplace coverage, confirm with your employee benefits team or insurance plan when you can choose or change your insurance plan.
  • Medicare Open Enrollment: During Medicare’s annual enrollment period, October 15 to December 7, 2026, compare when each plan begins and how its Medicare Advantage and Part D coverage could affect your prescriptions, which may include DUPIXENT.

PREPARE for 2027

Your healthcare needs, budget, and coverage can change over time. Reviewing your options during open enrollment can help you choose a plan that works for you in the year ahead.

Know your type of health insurance can make it easier to compare plans.

You have commercial insurance if:

  • You get coverage through your employer or a spouse's employer
  • You purchase insurance on your own
  • You purchase insurance through the Affordable Care Act (ACA)
Marketplace

If you have commercial insurance and open enrollment questions, contact your benefits manager.

You have government insurance if you are covered through:

  • Medicare
  • Medicaid
  • DoD/Tricare
  • Veterans Affairs (VA) health care, if eligible

For Medicare open enrollment questions, visit Medicare.gov or speak with your Medicare Advisor. For questions regarding other government plans, speak to a plan representative.

Special Circumstances

Most insurance changes must be made during open enrollment. However, if you experience a major life event, such as losing coverage, getting married, or having a baby, you may be able to make changes outside of the open enrollment period.

If you don't have health insurance, are unsure about your health insurance coverage, or are having trouble affording DUPIXENT, call DUPIXENT MyWay® at 1‑844‑DUPIXENT (1-844-387-4936), Option 1, Monday–Friday, 8 am–9 pm ET.

What to Consider as You Plan for 2027

A little planning now can help keep your treatment on track.

Changes to your health plan can affect coverage and what you may pay for medical care and
prescription medications, including DUPIXENT. Reviewing your options now can help you
prepare or plan for the year ahead.

Medication Coverage:

Check the insurance plan's list of covered prescription medications to make sure your prescription treatments are covered.

Timing:

Know when you can
enroll, make plan
changes, and when new
coverage takes effect.

Out-of-Pocket Costs:

Review your out-of-pocket
costs: deductible, copays,
coinsurance, prescription
drug costs, and out-of-
pocket maximum.

Network Options:

Confirm your
preferred doctors,
specialists, hospitals,
and pharmacies are
in-network.

There may be other factors you will want to assess to plan for the year ahead. When taking a specialty medication such as
DUPIXENT, it's important to understand how your medication will be covered, and what you may actually pay.
